In the words of Dr David Troublefield @Knox County Hospital District –

“As an HR professional, I always want an affordable ATS easy to use by candidates for job openings, a labor law-compliant employment application for them to complete, someone else to archive those applications (rather than maintaining a big bank of file cabinets as in the past, or even using storage of our digital systems), and also dependable/worry-free-for-me tech support when needed (during our first years with Smart Hires, I contacted Mohan via email as early as 6:30 AM CST about something pertaining to the Smart Hires ATS and he replied right away [at maybe 4:45 AM PST!]–which really surprised me but is in keeping with his serious regard for his hard-working clients everywhere [including on the East Coast, where the time was 7:30 AM on the same days]). Due to the employment difficulties that occurred nationwide due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems that many companies have tweaked their ATSs so that applying for jobs is even easier for applicants—but related labor laws have not changed, and the compliance issues that HR offices faced before C19 are the ones we must tend to now (so, a labor law-compliant employment application/system still is required). During the past 10 ½ years, my HR offices have averaged recruiting (from across Texas, primarily) and then onboarding 1 new employee each 3.6 HR workdays (nationwide average: 1 new worker each 30.0 HR workdays) at a cost to HR of about $85 per new hire, without paying to publish lots-and-lots of expensive Help Wanted ads either online or in print and without paying for the expensive services of staffing firms. HR’s use of Smart Hires’ ATS has helped us keep HR-related costs lower than they otherwise would be (Our executives and trustees like that!).
